The number of destinations in Croatia which have beach facilities adapted to the disabled is very small considering the percentage of people with phisycal disabilities. One of these destinations is also Split which has two of the best equipped beaches built recently: Znjan beach and Bene Beach which is located on the slopes of Marjan Hill.

Znjan Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Split; now it has a section which is fully adapted to the disabled. There is a parking area with 10 parking spots, a sundeck of 265 m2, double ramp to access the sea, access path that connects the parking and ramps. The beach has a lift, umbrellas, sanitary facility adapted to the disabled, shower, changing room, info panel with all necessary information, parasoles, benches, garbage cans and daily assistance in the form of rescue services.

Bene beach is located on the slopes of Marjan Hill so there is plenty of natural shade. The facilities on the beach have been renovated and they include: new handrails, accessible entrances, ramps, adapted toilets and facilities at the beach. The beach also has beach chairs for people with disabilities, so in addition to swimming they can enjoy the beach all day.
