This year from 16th to 19th August Split will go 1700 years back when Diocletian ruled this city. This manifestation has been taking place for eight years; this year the ancient history of Split will once again start living the old splendour.

The rich program of this manifestation includes passengers in togas and tunics walking the streets of the old palace, old carriages passing along the waterfront taking the Emperor Diocletian and his wife Priska to the Perisytle Square where he addresses his citizens, all to the tunes of drums and trumpets. Also, there will be a procession of Roman soldiers, gladiator fights, old Roman football, street performers, various concerts, music and dance events. You will also be able to enjoy the rich gastronomic offer including old Roman dishes.
