Kasuni beach - (gravel beach approximately 3 km from the center of Split) - This beautiful beach is situated on the southern part of the Marjan hill and it is the first beach after Kastelet towards west. On the beach there are several restaurants which provide food and drink, but you can also drop by in the evening and enjoy some of the parties which are often organized during the summer.... The beach is covered with small white stones which particularly emphasize its purity and beauty. Also there is a changing room and shower on the beach. Kasuni is quite easy to reach by car and there are enough parking places in the area, although during the peak season it can be overcrowded. There is almost no shade at the beach and there is no rental equipment nearby.
Kastelet beach - (gravel beach approximately 3 km from the center of Split) - this popular beach is situated on the southern part of Marjan, in Meje area. The locals call this beach Obojena Svjetlost after the popular night club which is located over there. Nicely decorated bar at the very top of the beach provides an entirely new dimension which you will definitely enjoy. The beach is covered with small white stones which emphasize its purity and beauty. There are several restaurants with food and drinks, and there is a changing room and shower nearby.
Jezinac beach - (gravel beach approximately 3 km from the center of Split) - this beautiful beach is situated on the southern part of Marjan hill. There is a changing room, shower and concrete part with covered tables where you can hide from the sun and play cards with your friends while taking a break from swimming.
Bene beach - (stone - sandy beach, approximately 3 km from the center of Split) - this popular beach is located on the western part of Marjan, and it is a perfect place for family and kids. To get to Bene beach you will have to go by foot or by local bus because this beach is situated in the middle of forest park where no cars are allowed. Bene beach is surrounded by rocks and concrete parts but inside of the sea there is sand which makes it perfect for kids. On the beach you will find a restaurant with a spacious terrace, several sports fields and a few children's playgrounds. There is also a water slide for the children’s entertainment and, in the peak season, this beach is full of swimmers.
Bacvice beach - this sandy beach is the public beach closest to the center of Split and it is also known by a variety of outside entertainment that take place over there. Bacvice beach is one of the favorite beaches in Split and it is awarded by a blue flag. The beach is covered by sand with some concrete parts; the sea is turquoise blue with controlled purity. One of the most interesting events on the beach is a popular local game picigin, a favorite summer sport for many of the locals. Nearby there are several café bars, restaurants and pastry's where you can freshen up a with drink or ice cream. This is the main city beach and it is visited by a large number of people, therefore there are several guard rescuers and the beach has secure access for disabled people. For all those who want to have fun in the evening there are several night clubs and disco bars in the area, so we can also accentuate that Bacvice is a perfect place for summer nightlife.
Ovcice beach - this gravel beach is located next to Bacvice beach, towards east. Besides all the additional facilities for children, this beach is ideal for family gatherings all year long. The beach has almost no shade, but you can rent sunshades and beach chairs. There is a changing room, shower, cafe bar with a spacious terrace and a few children’s playgrounds available. Ovcice is also a perfect place for summer nightlife.
Firule beach - this sandy beach is located just next to Ovcice and it is covered by sand with some concrete parts which makes it perfect for kids. On the Firule beach yearly championship in headball takes place, but also a lot of locals enjoy playing picigin all year long. Firule beach is well sheltered from the north wind - bura, therefore during the winter time, a few swimmers can be encountered. Along the beach there is a large promenade which is always full of walkers. The Firule beach is very shallow; therefore it's ideal for children and non-swimmers.
Posk beach - walking from Firule beach towards east, you will get to Posk, the beach located just in front of very popular disco club O'Hara (ex. Shakespeare). This beach is very popular among older people as well as former water polo players from water polo club "Posk", which has a swimming pool just next to the beach.
Trstenik beach - (gravel beach approximately 4 km from the center of Split) - Trstenik Beach is located east from the center of Split and west from the Znjan beach. This beach is named after the area where it is located. The beach has plenty of facilities for children and adults. Western part of Trstenik beach is under Radisson Blu concession and that part is especially modern with servants available all day long. Trstenik beach is very shallow; therefore it's ideal for children and non-swimmers. There is a changing room, shower and, as the beach has almost no shade, you can rent sunshades and beach chairs.
Znjan beach- (gravel beach approximately 5 km from the center of Split) - Along with Bacvice beach, Znjan is perhaps the most famous beach in Split. The Znjan beach is situated between the beaches Trstenik on the west and Duilovo on the east. The beach is partly made of concrete, but mostly it's gravel. The biggest problem related to this beach is the lack of shade and there are no parasols to rent. Next to it there are several catering objects, so bathers can freshen up with a cold drink or cool under a parasol. It is also very interesting to mention that on this particular beach celebration of the Mass by Pope John Paul II took place on October 4, 1998, when pilgrims from all over Croatia came to Split to meet the Holy Father.
