The Night of the Museums is a cultural event taking place in Croatia for the ninth time. Croatian Museums will be open to public from 6 pm till 1 am for free. All the museums and galleries prepare special programs like concerts, exhibitions, workshops...

Split has the privilege to be the first city in Croatia to have a "green hotel". The hotel is called Hotel Split but it is not situated exactly in Split; it is actually in Podstrana, 8 km south from Split. This four star, family hotel was open in 2012 and is situated directly at the sea, 300 meters from the Marina Strozanac.
Like all the major world tourist destinations, Split has also got its first library bar. Just like Florence has a library bar in the honour of Dante Alighieri, Prague in the honour of Franz Kafka why wouldn't Split have a library bar open in the honour of Marko Marulic, the father of Croatian literature.
The peninsula of Sustipan, which closes the Split harbour from the west, was once the most beautiful cemetery on the Adriatic; today it is one of the favourite places to go for a walk or attend some event.
