The renovation took place under the supervision of conservationists in order to respect the original architecture from the 15th century. So when you enter the bar you will see the original stone floor and the authentic beams on the ceiling. The book shelves were ordered from Padova where Marko Marulic went to school. One shelf is dedicated to Marulic's works; there are of course other works and not only in Croatian but other languages as well. Everyone is of course invited to donate the books they don't need any more and thus make the bar library richer.
Book lovers can also enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of drink like whiskey and top quality wines and even Cuban cigars and all this to the sounds of jazz music. There is an area in the bar for smokers. It is interesting that the bar organizes thematic literature nights dedicated to poets and writers. Poetic nights will also be organized; guests will be able to participate and read their own poetry.
The owner, a poet himself, has a plan to connect with other library bars in the world and create a kind of brotherhood.
